I was wondering if the membership had any summary resources regarding basic rules/regs for the main Customs Compliance areas of Valuation, Classification, Recordkeeping, SPI’s, etc. for the European Union (specifically Denmark). Something that outlines the basic differences between US rules/regs versus EU rules/regs would be great.

Is your Customs Compliance group involved in registration/compliance in connection with the EU’s WEEE or ROHS environmental regulations? If so, please describe the role it plays. If not, what group or groups within your company are responsible for these programs?
Question: Does the EU offer VAT or Customs duties refund/drawback once a product is imported into a EU, manufacturered into a finished product and then reexported out of the EU other countries? If so, what are these government programs named? Can the membership provide a reference for an EU importer?
Can membership provide sources in the website on the subject the EU VAT ? If a EU firm uses a EU country to export only a finish good and not for use in the EU country can the VAT be exempt and/or refunded ?
Our company would like to have our field offices in Europe host webinars to the public. We currently host them here within the US, but have to reject countries, companies, and customers that are of concern to the US regulations. Would this sort of issue still apply for our field offices in Europe?
We’ve been advised to implement “blanket” end-use certificates for exports from the EU, certifying that otherwise uncontrolled goods will not be used in support of the production of WMD. Do any other members have similar procedures in place for their EU exports? Can you share the wording on your end-use certificates?
