Use this page to join or renew your International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA) membership. Signing up and renewing are two different forms, and renewing does not ask you to sign in. If you started a signup and never got to the end of the payment, the renewal form is where you finish it.

Both forms are on the member system, which is why they look different from this page. Membership itself is what you get in the ICPA daily emails from the next business day.
Sign up for the first time
Pick your membership type, confirm you meet the criteria for it, and pay. If you work for an importer or exporter and have not been an active member for at least two years, your first year is free.

Renew, or finish a payment
You do not need to sign in to renew. Confirm your opt-in settings, give the email address your membership is under, and the form takes you the rest of the way.

What the levels cost
Dues are annual and quoted in US dollars. Which levels you may hold is decided by who employs you, not by what you would like to pay.

| Individual Importer/Exporter | $125USD, per year | Current or previous employment as a compliance professional by a business or corporation engaged in international trade as an importer or exporter. Employees of service providers, meaning customs brokers, freight forwarders, law firms, consultants and the like, are not eligible for this membership type. |
| Government | $125USD, per year | Available to individuals employed by federal, state, provincial, local, or other government agencies whose work relates to international trade, customs, import/export, trade compliance, supply chain, logistics, economic development, or related areas. Employees of a government agency responsible for or relating to enforcing international trade laws or regulations are not eligible. Government membership is non-voting and does not include Board eligibility. |
| Student | $25USD, per year | Available to students currently enrolled in high school or an undergraduate college, university, community college, technical school, or other qualifying post-secondary program. This membership is intended to help students explore international trade compliance, build their professional network, and stay connected to ICPA as they prepare to enter the profession. |
| Educator | $50USD, per year | Available to professors, teachers, instructors, faculty members, and other educators who teach or support education related to international trade, trade compliance, supply chain, logistics, customs, import/export, international business, or related fields at a high school, college, university, technical school, or other educational institution. |
| Senior or Retired | $50USD, per year | Individuals 65 or older, or who have retired, who just want to keep up with the world of international trade. |
| Military | $50USD, per year | Individuals who have served in the military. Employees of service providers, meaning customs brokers, freight forwarders, law firms, consultants and the like, are not eligible for this membership type. |
| Sole Practitioner | $250USD, per year | Reserved for small service provider businesses as defined in ICPA’s bylaws. On request, sole practitioners can be listed on the Service Providers page under their business category with a link to their website. |
| Individual Business outside North America | $250USD, per year | Consultants, attorneys, brokers, freight forwarders and similar, covering only those individuals domiciled outside North America. |
| Service Provider: Associate Business | $1,250USD, per year | A business or corporation categorized as a service provider as defined in ICPA’s bylaws. The fee covers five memberships, so up to five employees can register and receive the daily emails. On request, associate businesses can be listed on the Service Providers page. |
| Global Partner | $3,000USD, per year | By invitation. The enhanced service provider level: seven memberships instead of five, priority speaking and booth selection, dedicated conference signage and a discount on sponsorships. For an invitation, contact dpoore@icpainc.org. |

Signed up, but never finished paying?
This catches out both new members and members renewing, and it is easy to fix. Nothing you already entered is lost.
- Go to the Renew Membership or Finish Your Payment page.
- Confirm your opt-in settings and submit the email address you signed up with.
- If the email matches, a button appears saying Click to Continue the Renewal Process.
- Follow the remaining steps to complete your payment.
Still stuck
If the email address does not match anything, it is usually because the membership is under a work address you no longer use. We can look it up for you.

Associate Business memberships cover five people on one fee and Global Partner covers seven, so most companies join once rather than five times. If you need an invoice, a W-9 or a purchase order, ask us before you start the form.
