      Question:   Our import broker offers a service for my company to pull our import documents from their website. Does this meeting the recordkeeping requirements for importers under 19 CFR 163? I interpret the regulations to indicate that the importer must maintain documents in house –whether hard copy, on disc, etc.

    Question: Our freightfowarder has a system that allows me to retrieve the EEI/AES filing and back-up documents related to a transaction. Is this sufficient or do I need to have them stored in house?
