This webinar will focus on reviewing recent OFAC and EAR enforcement actions with a focus on the sorts of conduct U.S. regulators are focused on and how compliance officials can learn to identify and mitigate similar risks. The main points of emphasis will be on identifying and reducing diversion risks for U.S. exporters, identifying SDN risks posed to world-wide businesses, supply chain risks for any U.S. importer, the especial export controls and sanctions risks posed by U.S. persons and U.S. goods, and the sectors that have been heavily targeted by U.S. enforcement agencies.
Topics will include:
Identifying and mitigating diversion risks
Identifying and reducing the risks posed by SDNs and other listed persons or entities
Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks
Identifying export controls and sanctions risks posed by U.S. persons and U.S. goods involvement in export transactions
Identifying those business sectors that face the greatest current enforcement risks
Timothy P. O’Toole, Esq., a member of the law firm of Miller & Chevalier Chartered, in Washington D.C., and the leader of its White Collar Defense Practice Group will lead this discussion.
PowerPoint slides will be provided, as well as live video and commentary.
