ECTI PRESENTS: ITAR Defense Trade Controls / EAR Export Controls SEMINAR SERIES 2021 / 2022
SEMINAR SCHEDULE / Details
Each four-day long seminar in various US (and Non-US) locations focusing on: International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Controls & Embargoes (OFAC) Explained – complete with all Export Control Reform (ECR) Changes and New Administration Priorities. Attend each ITAR (first two days) or EAR/OFAC seminar (second two days) or both.
FOR US SEMINAR LOCATIONS (two or four day): This seminar series provides both novice and experienced export compliance professionals with a comprehensive education on complying with United States export regulations. We will review recent ECR changes and potential coming changes from a new administration and what they could mean for your compliance programs. Reform changes have relaxed the controls on some defense-related items and technology, but made understanding and complying with the regulations even more complicated. The shift of many military and space items from the ITAR to the EAR obliges exporters to learn the challenging ins and outs of the EAR. There is good news in the fact that the complex rules impose significantly fewer compliance burdens and fewer compliance-based export delays.
IN THE NON-US SEMINAR LOCATIONS (two or four day): This seminar series provides both novice and experienced export compliance professionals with an in-depth education on export control regulations administered by the US Departments of State, Commerce, and Treasury as they apply to other non-US-based companies, and also to the specific seminar location (Amsterdam Seminar: NL & EU / London Seminar: UK & EU / Singapore Seminar: Asia-Pacific) who use or resell US-origin products, components, or technology as well as NON-US-LOCATED affiliates, parents, and subsidiaries of US companies.
UNIVERSITY-SPECIFIC SEMINARS (four day seminar): Comprehensive and practical EAR, ITAR & OFAC export compliance training focusing on issues relevant to universities, research laboratories, and industry sponsors.
Expect to leave these seminars with an understanding of the rules that will allow you to minimize any delays in your exports, minimize your costs of compliance, and reduce the risk of inadvertently violating the law, giving your organization a competitive advantage and a compliance program on solid footing.
