ECTI Presents: Import 101 For Aerospace Professionals
August 26, 2020 at 1:00 pm EDT
Import Basics for Export Control, Sourcing, Contracts, Purchasing, Receiving, Engineering, and Supply Chain Professionals in Aerospace Companies
The purpose of this webinar is to train non-import professionals to spot potential import issues before the problems occur. Even if import compliance is not your job, import rules and regulations can have a significant impact on you. You do not need to be an expert on imports, but a little bit of practical knowledge may go a long way in making your life easier and increasing the success of your company. In today’s ever-evolving and fast paced international business environment, the import specialist is now involved in many activities that involve critical import compliance issues, which makes it difficult to address import issues before they occur. Too often companies spend the majority of their trade compliance resources on export issues. Many companies focus on import compliance and the import process only when they get a notice from Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”) or when CBP conducts a Focused Assessment (audit). A basic understanding of import compliance will assist you and others in your company to better understand how import decisions affect supply chain, contracts, manufacturing, cost, and almost every aspect of your business.
PowerPoint slides will be provided, as well as live video and commentary.
